Offered for sale is a Weiler Praktikant VC lead and feedscrew lathe from year of manufacture 1999, in very good condition. The control system, in combination with the precision centre lathe from Weiler, provides the following functions: graphical display of travel distance and direction, graphical representation of the scale system on the lathe, compensation for tool offset, zero point shifting for workpiece position compensation, radius/diameter switching, graphical display of the main spindle rotation, graphical display of the machine’s speed potentiometer position. A very fine lathe featuring an AC drive with infinitely variable spindle speed. All slides move very smoothly and evenly. Even at high speeds, the Weiler runs quietly. This newer generation of Weiler lathes is very user-friendly and is capable of producing surface finishes comparable to grinding. The digital readout makes operation even easier and more precise. Take the opportunity to inspect the machine under power on site and convince yourself of its condition.
