MACHINE OVERVIEW

The WellCut LC is the heavy-duty model in Airwell’s WellCut series. It features a taller frame than the FL model, which keeps the gantry and electronics further away from the cutting heat.

The LC can accommodate several oxy-fuel torch carriages simultaneously, enabling the cutting of multiple identical parts from thick steel plate in a single pass. This makes it suitable for steel service centers, fabrication shops, and heavy-plate manufacturers. The "3500" designation refers to the 3.5 m rail gauge.

CONTROL SYSTEM AND DRIVES

The machine is operated by a Burny NC control system from Lincoln Electric, an industry-standard controller for oxy-fuel shape cutting.

Panel controls for Go To, Reverse, Go, and Stop, plus a jog pad for manual positioning.
Per-station Auto / Manual / Off switching for torches 1-2.
Electric gas control from the panel, with manual adjustment as a backup.
Panel functions for ignition, preheat, pierce time, and speed.

Omron AC servo motors and Alpha precision gearboxes drive the gantry along a precision-machined rack. This ensures accurate and repeatable motion along the entire rail length.
