Combined with the Scharmüller crossmember and drawbar, the following towing capacities are possible:
- Trailer with continuous braking system: 21,000 kg
- Trailer with overrun brake: 3,500 kg
- Trailer without brakes: 750 kg
- Central axle trailer: 13,000 kg with support load: 1,000 kg
 This makes the U5023 a multifunctional towing vehicle, whether for passenger car trailers, central axle trailers, or classic turntable trailers – for every required height, the right coupling is available!
 Ideal for crane operation, as the Unimog itself is compact and can tow very long trailers.
 Our special model also features a working group gearbox: perfect for precise maneuvering, enabling clutch-friendly operation and always providing an appropriately selectable speed as needed.
