* The machine does not require a foundation but is installed on a specially designed polymer bed, standing 600 mm high.
* Additional feature: A CNC-controlled rotary table is integrated into the boring quill, allowing for the machining of contours up to a diameter of 600 mm.
The machine was electrically and mechanically overhauled by Scharmann, most recently in 2015.
During the overhaul, the entire electrical system was replaced, and the control system was upgraded to Siemens 840 D.
In the mechanical area, for example, the roller bearing shoes and the ball screw in the Z-axis were replaced, as well as the spindle head, including its guide and flyer chains for the counterweights, which were inspected and/or renewed.

In addition, HCR installed a machine enclosure (open at the top), which was integrated into the safety concept, including operating mode 4, by Scharmann.
In 2017, the CNC rotary table, the differential gear, and the boring spindle unit were dismantled and overhauled at the Scharmann factory (new bearings, seals, and gears).
