Multivac R272 CD Darfresh Thermoforming Packaging Machine
The Multivac R272 CD Darfresh (MultiFresh) thermoforming packaging machine is designed for easy and efficient packaging of products in attractive vacuum skin packs (VSP).
This packaging technology offers several advantages:
Extended product shelf life
The product remains securely fixed in place and does not shift during transport
Premium product presentation with an attractive appearance
The excess film along the sides is removed by two rewind rollers, while small film remnants are extracted by an integrated scrap film suction system.

SKIN (Vacuum Skin Packaging)
The machine is entirely manufactured from stainless steel.

Thermoforming Packaging Process
The bottom film is unwound from the roll.
The bottom film is heated and formed in the forming station.
The formed trays are transported forward.
Products are loaded into the trays in the loading area.
The top film is unwound from the roll.
The filled packages are sealed (vacuum, MAP, or SKIN packaging).
The packages are cross-cut.
The packages are longitudinally cut.
The finished packages are discharged for further processing, such as metal detection and/or labelling.
How Vacuum Skin Packaging (SKIN) Works
In vacuum skin packaging, the product is placed on a plastic tray. A specially developed skin film is heated and tightly vacuum-sealed around the product, creating a "second skin."
This packaging method offers several important benefits:

The product remains firmly in position and cannot move within the tray
