Printing process:
The patented VFGF technology (Variable Fused Granulate Fabrication) is an advancement of pellet-based 3D printing with a variable nozzle opening. It prints in high resolution only where needed, such as on visible surfaces, and efficiently fills internal areas with thicker extrusions. In doing so, VFGF combines the advantages of FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) for fine details and complex geometries with those of granulate printing (high deposition rates, material variety, reduced costs). Intelligent algorithms ensure the precise amount of material is placed exactly where it is required, even with complex shapes that involve overhangs or support structures.
Areas of application:
Suitable for prototypes, single parts, small series, and even higher production volumes. By melting the material in a specially developed screw extruder, high throughput rates are achieved, significantly reducing print times. This process is ideal for industries such as aerospace, mechanical engineering, and automotive manufacturing.
