Climate stability chamber for testing according to ICH – WHO – EMA – ASEAN – GMP – GLP – GCCP guidelines.

The climate stability chamber is designed for stability testing in compliance with ICH and GMP requirements. Environmentally friendly and efficient: the ICHeco climate chamber, engineered for stability testing of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food products, uses an eco-friendly CO₂ (R744) refrigerant. Memmert thus sets an ecological standard for compressor-cooled temperature chambers. Additionally, ICHeco features exceptional temperature and humidity uniformity. An air jacket surrounding the hermetically sealed working chamber enables rapid and homogeneous heat distribution from all four sides. This design effectively prevents frost buildup in the cooling system and sample desiccation.

Stability testing in accordance with ICH Q1B Option 2 (photostability)
The ICHeco L climate chamber can be equipped with a lighting module for testing conforming to ICH Q1B Option 2 (photostability). The light source is a fluorescent lamp emitting cool white daylight (color 865, 6500 K) and UV light in the 320–400 nm range. Both daylight and UV light correspond to standard D65 illumination.

Controlled CO₂ supply in ICH chamber
The compact ICH C climate chamber provides ideal conditions, particularly for testing building materials and concrete. With electronic CO₂ control and automatic zero-setting (NDIR measurement system), and an adjustable range of 0–10%, reliable long-term carbonation depth tests in concrete can be conducted—eliminating the need for large, energy- and cost-intensive test chambers.

Eco-friendly CO₂ refrigerant delivers improved cooling performance
The ICHeco climate chamber is efficient and environmentally responsible. Compared with devices using R134a refrigerant, it offers notably faster temperature change rates during cooling. Of course, Memmert ICH / ICH L / ICH C climate chambers with R134a refrigerant remain available in parallel.
