Universal Testing Machine
The "QUASAR" universal testing machines are designed as single-room testing machines
and essentially consist of the following components:
Machine frame. The design and structure of the machine load frame is designed
where necessary for the specified maximum loads:
Electromechanical load application with toothed belt drive, toothed belt pulleys,
drive with DC or brushless servo motor, and recirculating ball screws.
Load measuring system with load cell suitable for tension and compression.
Electronic control unit that performs all functions:
Regulation and control, monitoring, and recording of the output signals
of the measuring amplifiers for force, strain, and crosshead travel.
The system is based on a 32-bit processor with a clock speed of 25 MHz; The analog signals are acquired by an A/D converter with 20-bit resolution.
The electronic control system is usually located in the base of the machine.
This also applies to most of the electrical components of the drive and power supply.
The operator interface is connected to the PC via an RS232 serial interface with a high transmission speed of 38400 baud.
